On May 27, 2010, Arnia represented the CUBRID Open Source Community at the Agora Technology Conference on Open Source Software, in Bucharest, Romania.

ARNIA introduced CUBRID, a powerful database management system that helps increase server performance, provides round the clock service and helps decrease the overall expenses. At the occasion of this event, CUBRID was introduced for the first time to Romanian developers.
The 20 minutes presentation was followed by a 10 minutes Q&A session held by Catalin Ciobanu and Maximilian Machedon, both CUBRID representatives.
Conference participants have learned about CUBRID’s performance and why thousands of enterprise organizations have already chosen it over other alternatives. CUBRID Manager, the user interface got a more indepth presentation. The general topics discussed were:
- What is CUBRID?
- Why use CUBRID?
- CUBRID’s structure and internal architecture
- CUBIRD Manager – a GUI administration tool
- Famous Web Applications which use CUBRID
The presentation was concluded with some real world examples about the Wordpress and XpressEngine web applications that are already compatible with CUBRID. Participants’ questions were centered on CUBRID Architecture, security, and data migration tools.
As the CUBRID reprezentative for Romania, Arnia Software’s present goal is to inform the romanian market about CUBRID and its performance.
